THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE!

Romans 12:1

Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

As I reflect on this Veteran’s Day as my husband, father, uncles, cousins risked their lives for this Country. It also makes me think not only that they surrendered their lives for us but for God as well. Making that ultimate sacrifice brought on determination, courage, service, dedication and perseverance! These men and women have donned a military uniform in service to our nation! I SALUTE you and thank you for your commitment, yesterday, today and tomorrow!

Here’s 3 morsels of joy that I get to take away:

1)  Gratitude and admiration for giving their lives to protect our security.

2) Honor for the service and sacrifice, not just through one day of commemoration, but through a continuing commitment to care for their needs both during and after their service to our country.

3) Bravery and courage despite the hardships they have endured; but ultimately served before self.
